The focus of this course is childhood cancer and the care of the child experiencing cancer. Information about the etiology and difference of cancer in children and adults as well as special considerations in the care and support of these children are described.

About the Author
Deborah A. Raines, Ph.D., RNC is an associate professor at the Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing at Florida Atlantic University. Dr. Raines has clinical experience in the care of children in acute care and home-care settings. Dr. Raines is a member of the Society of Pediatric Nurses and is a distinguished Practitioner in the National Academy of Practice.

Course Objectives
Upon completion of this home study continuing education course, the participant will be able to:
