The course content focuses on the essentiality of culturally competent nursing care in practice within the context of worldwide migration and respect for multiculturalism. About the Author: Charlotte D. Barry, Ph.D., RN Associate Professor Florida Atlantic University Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing Dr. Charlotte Barry received her doctorate degree in nursing from the University of Miami and her masters and bachelors degree in nursing from Florida Atlantic University. She has published several articles on caring in nursing and cultural care. Dr. Barry recently returned from Uganda where she assisted in the development of a Masters program in nursing. Dr. Barry is currently an Associate Professor of Nursing at Florida Atlantic University.
