Course ID: FQUEWU104 Course Name: Behavioral Management Strategies for Nurses Caring for Persons with Urinary Incontinence Credits: 1 This one-contact hour home-study continuing education course focuses on coming to know the person with urinary incontinence. It includes a discussion of the mechanism and possible etiology of urinary incontinence and introductory information about the implementation of behavioral management strategies nurses can use to help persons experiencing urinary incontinence. About the Author Dr. Kathleen Jett holds her bachelors, masters and doctoral degrees in nursing from the University of Florida. She has worked in a number of settings and in a number of roles, all focused on the care of the frail elderly. Dr. Jett has conducted research and teaching regarding the diagnosis and treatment of urinary incontinence in older women. Dr. Jett has published articles on a variety of subjects and frequently conducts continuing education programs. She is currently an assistant professor of nursing at Florida Atlantic University.
